Project Chemistry
Project Chemistry
Project Chemistry is an interactive molecular workshop where chemistry becomes something you can see, touch, and experiment with.
Choose from ten elements, drag atoms onto the workbench, and connect them into molecular structures.
When your structure is ready, check it against a catalog of 220 molecules. Successful discoveries reveal the molecule’s name, formula, bonds, structure, and additional information.

Experiment freely
There is no single prescribed order. Begin with any available element and explore which structures can emerge from it.
A structure without a match is not automatically impossible—it may simply be outside the workshop’s current catalog.

Discover 220 molecules
Construct familiar substances such as water and hydrogen peroxide, then continue into less familiar combinations involving carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, silicon, phosphorus, sulfur, fluorine, chlorine, and bromine.

Complete your discovery book
Every identified molecule is recorded in the Discovery Book. Undiscovered entries remain hidden as structural silhouettes, giving you clues without revealing their identities.
Your discoveries are saved between sessions, allowing you to gradually complete the catalog at your own pace.

How to play
- Drag an element from the left side of the screen.
- Place it on the platform or near an existing atom.
- Use the highlighted cards and catalog count as guidance.
- Select Check Molecule when the structure is complete.
- Discover the compound—or revise the structure and try again.
Project Chemistry is an educational game prototype, not a complete chemistry simulator. Its simplified model currently focuses on neutral, connected, acyclic structures containing up to eight explicit atoms. Ionic compounds, ring structures, arbitrary reactions, and predictions of chemical stability are outside the scope of this version. It was made in about 24 hours as part of a school project.
